About the Speaker
Meredith Harper Houston is an educator, advocate, and survivor of sexual abuse. She founded the nonprofit organization, The Swan Within, to use ballet as a catalyst to heal trauma among incarcerated and foster youth who had experienced sexual exploitation and abuse. In 2019 she was named a Pioneer Woman of the Year by the office of Mayor Eric Garcetti for her work championing gender equality.
